Thankful Thursdays

Hello November!

While I’m not at all excited about cold weather, I am excited for the onslaught of all things Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. (It also happens to be  the start of birthday season in our home) With Halloween behind us, I look forward to Thanksgiving. What I love about this time of year is the focus on the blessings we have. And then I love when that turns into giving to others and spreading the blessings all around.

I engaged in another challenge on Instagram that i am so grateful for. It was an idea started by Helen C. Stark. On her blog she talks about our need for gratitude in a society where we are bombarded with ideas of things we need to make us happy. I agree, the world needs more gratitude for things we already have. She suggests taking time on Thursdays because it gives you a chance to reflect on your week so far before the weekend crazies happen.

I find Thursdays are the perfect day for me too, to reflect, take moments to refill and may take a little rest. It fills my heart when I think about and write and/or draw just some of the simple and grand blessings that have happend lately.

I encourage you to take part in this challenge of being thankful each week. Now is a great time to start!

What are some things, or people or places you are thankful for? Please share!
